Materials
Yes they are. They are chemically, physically, and optically the same. The only difference is where they came from. Read more about lab grown diamonds.
Yes. All our diamonds with 0.5ct or above come with certificates from IGI or GIA. Grading is done by independent institutes like IGI or GIA and requires significant effort. Therefore, it is uneconomical to grade diamonds smaller than 0.5ct. For smaller stones we obtain assurances by our suppliers that they are at least FG colour and VS clarity.
Diamonds can be created in a lab from pure carbon with two processes that are widely used. Read more here.
All diamonds used in LOEV jewelry are colourless (DEF) or graded G, which is the best colour if the „near colourless“ spectrum. This means that a trained gemologist can detect traces of colour under lab conditions. In a jewelry setting, no colour will be detectable to even trained specialists.
We only use diamonds with at least VS or VVS clarity which stands for „very slightly included“ or „very very slightly included“. This means that any inclusions in the stone can only be detected by 10x magnification and can not be observed without magnification.
Great question that few people dare to ask! Despite looking and sounding so similar, Carat and Karat are completely different concepts. Carat refers to the weight of a diamond and 1 carat = 0.2 grams. Carat weight is abbreviated ct.
Karat on the other hand refers to the purity of gold, where 24Kt mean 99.99% purity. Therefore, 18Kt gold consists of 75% gold (by weight). This is referred to as Gold 750 and you will find this stamp inside your LOEV jewelry. Karat gold is abbreviated Kt.
18Kt gold is considered the best choice for fine jewelry ensuring both stability and high gold content. Higher gold concentrations can be too soft, making jewelry prone to scratches and deformation.
At LOEV, taking care of our planet is part of our core mission. We do not like digging huge holes in the ground to grind tons of rock yielding tiny amounts of diamond. The same applies to gold. What’s more, mankind has recycled gold since ancient times and estimates are that more than 90% of the gold ever discovered is still in circulation. As such, gold is probably the most circular material of all. Some studies have concluded that the carbon footprint of recycled gold is a thousand times smaller than of freshly mined gold. This is all the reasons we need.
Recycled gold is made predominantly from old jewelry and increasingly also from gold contained in obsolete electronics. It is extracted and purified to 99.99% and from there processed to the desired quality by adding other metals like copper.

Product information and jewelry care
Engravings are a great way to personalise your jewelry. We offer engravings free of charge. Just add your engraving text when placing your order. The engraving text is limited to 30 characters including spaces, but please consider that 30 characters may be too much to fit into a ring. If your engraving would not work out nicely, we will be in touch with you. Please note that custom engraved items cannot be returned.
Absolutely. If you want a larger diamond or a special cut, let us know and we will prepare a custom offer for you.
The best way to determine your correct ring size is to measure a ring with similar width that you wear comfortably. The European sizes we use refer to the inner circumference in millimetres. To help you size, you can download and print this paper ring sizer.
We offer three sizes for our bangles: small, medium and large. You can determine your wrist size with a simple tape measure. The inside circumferences of our bangle sizes are:
S: 16cm M: 17cm L: 18cm
You can also refer to this diagram for the approximate inner diameters of our bangles.
You can clean your jewelry in warm water and mild dish detergent. Soak and gently scrub with a soft baby toothbrush or cotton swab. Wipe dry with a soft cloth or let it air dry.
Avoid contact of enamel with nail polish remover, disinfectants, and aggressive cleaning products. To preserve the luster, avoid contact with shampoo and soap. Take care not to drop your enamel jewelry on or hit hard surfaces and consider taking your jewelry off for contacts sports and rough manual labour.
